Foxboro, MA - August 1, 2006   - Axeda Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise software that enables manufacturers to offer high-value remote services for their products, today announced it has been awarded a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (#7,082,460) titled "Configuring a Network Gateway." The patent protects one of Axeda's key inventions relating to the ability of a gateway to discover devices, report those devices back to a central server, and receive configuration files based on the type of devices discovered.
