As a cloud platform and applications company, Axeda updates its on-demand service on a quarterly basis with customer-driven features. As a result, you gain immediate access to Axeda’s innovative technology and features without the costly and time-consuming migrations and administration of an on-premise solution.

Feature requests are an important input in determining which features to implement. The Axeda Spring ’11 release includes several customer-requested features, including:

  • Automated Password Reset - Based on an Idea submitted via our customer support portal, this enhancement enables you to reset Axeda ServiceLink application passwords online. You will notice a “Forgot your password?” link on the Axeda login page. By clicking this link, a temporary password will be sent to the user’s registered email address with instructions for updating the password upon first login.
  • Event Trigger for Expression Rules - Expression rules now have an event trigger and event namespace. With this enhancement, you can author business rules that trigger when event messages are sent to the Axeda Platform. For example, you can write a rule based on an abnormal event, such as a broken sensor, that opens a case in a CRM system to automate a business process.
  • File Upload/Download Reliability Enhancements - Uploads and downloads will now complete even if the agent restarts.
  • SDK Enhancements - The Axeda SDK has been improved with several enhancements for user management, pausing and resuming file transfers, and more.
