Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) is a $86 billion, global company serving the healthcare industry with a broad portfolio of products and services. They are using Axeda software for remote monitoring and proactive support of their Alaris® and Pyxis® products deployed at customer locations worldwide.

In addition to real-time, remote monitoring and service, Cardinal Health uses Axeda software to deliver remote software upgrades and patches to Pyxis® products, as well as to run remote desktop sharing sessions and diagnostic programs for its customers. Axeda’s patented technology has strict security provisions that complement healthcare facilities' existing network security infrastructure including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

Cardinal Health (formerly VIASYS) has also licensed Axeda software for its Support Connect service (formerly VCare Connect) for healthcare systems. Support Connect allows Cardinal Health clinical experts to securely access their medical systems with customer permission. The design of Suppor Connect makes it easy for customers to initiate remote service requests and provide diagnostic information directly to the support team; increasing operator productivity and reducing patient rescheduling.
