Our Green Initiative 

Axeda hires people that care about the community and environment. While we don't claim to be the most eco-friendly company in the software industry, we have made a conscious effort to continually foster a more Green environment and community.

We figure that if our customers can cut carbon emissions from their trucks by reducing field service visits with our remote service software (see our blog entry "Remote Service is Green"), then we can do our small part in providing a more eco-friendly working environment.

Current Green initiatives at Axeda include:

• Bins located throughout the office promote recycling plastic, glass, aluminum, paper, and cardboard
• Annual "Great Mansfield Clean-Up" helps rid our community of litter on our town's roads, fields, and highways
• Axeda mugs with built-in spoons phases out the use of paper cups, straws, and spoons
• Automatic shut-off lights for office and conference rooms with energy-efficient bulbs reduces energy usage
• Environmentally friendly cleaning and bathroom supplies enable safe disposal and eliminate toxic fumes
• Ambitious cyclists help reduce pollution by cycling to and from work
• Rechargeable batteries and recycled printer cartridges help minimize the manufacture of new products
• Participation in the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" initiative provides troops with recycled cell phones
• Donations of computers to local schools ensure fewer computers end up in landfills
