Microsoft Certified Partners are independent companies that provide IT services and IT products based on Microsoft technologies to corporate, government and small business customers. The Microsoft Certified Partner Program is worldwide in scope and is considered one of the most important resources for enabling Microsoft solutions. Microsoft Certified Partners are provided with Microsoft Product licenses for internal and marketing use, extensive technical training and support, access to pre-release product information and program codes, sales and marketing resources, and direct communications with Microsoft staff. They also receive customer referrals and participate in joint marketing opportunities. The Microsoft Certified Partner Program is designed to increase members' technical competency and business proficiency.
Axeda has been a Microsoft development partner since its founding and has been a Microsoft Certified Partner since 1998. Axeda uses the Microsoft , Visual C++, as the development environment for a large number of its products. The Axeda Agents are designed and tested for full operation on the Microsoft 32-bit operating systems. These include Windows NT, Windows CE, and Windows 2000. Axeda has also been a leading supplier and promoter of OPC tool kit development environment allowing a high level of interoperability between products and applications. In addition Axeda is also a strong supporter of the .NET architecture and is utilizing XML based communication for the full interface between the Axeda Agents and the Axeda Enterprise server. Axeda also uses SOAP calls for all of its remote command and control functions on the Agents.
